Disney Princess for a day: Bippidi Boppidi Boutique

If you’re looking for a special treat for your princess loving kiddo, few things rival the princess makeover at Bippidi Boppidi Boutique at Disney World.  With locations at Cinderella’s castle in Magic Kingdom and The Once Upon a Toy Store at Disney Springs they offer several packages to fit most preferences and budgets.  For our daughter’s 4th birthday we booked her a princess makeover at Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom and she had a blast! While the boutique is dominated by girls getting transformed into their favorite Disney Princess, they also offer makeovers for children to become gallant knights.

The Experience

When you arrive, you’re assigned a Fairy Godmother-in-training who helps you pick a dress (depending on package) and then you’re off to get the rest of your makeover.  They let the kids pick their preferred hairstyle or braid, the colors of their makeup, and add a lot of Disney magic with ‘pixie dust’ and special touches. In the end the chair is turned around for the big reveal and their reaction is pretty adorable.   It’s definitely worth checking out for your next special occasion!

Makeovers are for children 3 to 12 years of age.  Appointments are 30 minutes which includes changing into your dress and the makeover (hair, nails, make-up).  You leave with all the extras of what they don’t use in a little cinch swag bag.

Prices are tiered depending on your budget and preferences and listed below:

The Crown package ($64.95 plus tax) includes hair styling, makeup with a face gem, nail polish, princess sash and cinch bag.

The Courtyard package ($109.95 plus tax) adds a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique T-shirt and tutu.

The Castle package (starting at $199.95 plus tax) adds a princess costume of your choice and accessories (shoes not included).

The Deluxe Castle Package (starting at $229.95 plus tax) adds a princess necklace, Deluxe Disney Princess gown of your choice (excluding shoes) and an accessory set

The Princess Signature Dress Collection (starting at $450 plus tax) includes a princess gown made with heirloom-quality fabrics, a crystal tiara and organza garment bag.

The Knight Package ($19.95 plus tax) includes hair styling with gel, a mighty sword and shield and confetti.

The Deluxe Knight Package ($79.95 plus tax) adds a prince costume to the above package. A print photo package can be added to any of the packages for $32.95 plus tax. If you opted for Disney’s Memory Maker, pictures taken during your make-over can be added to your account.

Aim to book well in advance if possible.  It books up quickly and fairly far out.

If you’re aiming for a more cost-friendly makeover have your child come in already wearing a princess dress as the prices tend to increase upon purchasing dresses and accessories

Benefits to Disney Springs vs. Magic Kingdom- You don’t need an entrance pass to get into Disney Springs and appointments are easier to get if it’s last minute

Special add on:  If you’ve chosen Magic Kingdom you can also book Cinderella’s Royal table for lunch right after and let your prince or princess have lunch with all their favorite Disney Princesses (also located in Cinderella’s Castle adjacent to the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique)
